DREAM Social & Civic Club exists to challenge girls, women and the community to a greater good. Our purpose of challenging each girl or woman to a greater good comes to life by living the values of DSCC. All club activities and operations shall support member's pursuit of this purpose.
DSCC Signature Initiatives/Programs
(Girls United Ready to Lead Zealously)
Empowerment and Enrichment Program for young ladies in grades 6th-12th. DREAM Gurlz is geared toward inspiring and enriching the lives of young girls in our community. The young ladies will participate in monthly leadership workshops, group and individual mentoring, community service projects, college preparatory workshops, bonding activities, cultural and social outings and events. DREAM Gurlz is designed for :
* Young ladies who have potential, but need additional guidance, support, and skills to achieve success
* Young ladies who need inspiration, encouragement and support in pursuit of higher learning
* Young ladies who are interested in developing leadership skills
Participants meet the 2nd Saturday of every month!
Monthly Empowerment/Support Group that will address the issues on the heart and mind of women.
WEOW Session Topics include: Parenting, Dating in the 21st Century, Sisterhood/Friendships, Spirituality, Career/Education Transition, Mental, Emotional and Physical Health, Marriage, Politics, and many.
Group meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month
